Indications

• vax-TET® is indicated for active immunization against tetanus in adults and children, in booster vaccination of people who have received the basic immunization scheme, as well as in pregnant women for the prevention of neonatal tetanus. It is also applied in people injured with tetanigenic wounds who have incomplete, unknown, or undocumented immunization.
• It is recommended to vaccinate all people, especially those included in the following groups: patients undergoing surgery, patients with injuries treated in the emergency room, patients with pressure ulcers and/or chronic skin lesions, injecting drug users, pregnant women, elderly people or at work risk of traumatic injuries such as farmers, gardeners, farmers, etc.
• HIV carriers, asymptomatic or not, can be immunized with this vaccine.
